If the device is set to detect frame types automatically, devices are automatically displayed in the device list when you start NetSpot Device Installer for IPX. (Some devices cannot detect frame types automatically. You must first set the frame type for these devices. You can use NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP to make this setting.) |

If the desired device does not appear on the device list, the frame type setting may be wrong. Check the frame type setting. You can use NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP to change this setting. |

When the [Frame Type] is set to [Disabled], the device will not be recognized on the NetWare network and will no longer be listed on the device list in NetSpot Device Installer for IPX. For the device to be recognized again, you need to change the frame type setting to one that suits your system. You can use NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP to change the setting. |

[Auto Detect] is not available with some devices. |

When the [Frame Type] is set to [Disabled], the network board is not recognized on a TCP/IP network. |

If [RARP], [BOOTP] or [DHCP] is not available, configure using [Manual Setting]. |

Since it takes a minute or two to check whether [RARP], [BOOTP], and [DHCP] are available, it is recommended that you do not select these methods unless they are to be used. |

When the [Phase Type] is set to [Disabled], the network board is not recognized on an AppleTalk network. |
