What is NetSpot Device Installer for IPX?

A software utility for setting up network protocols for devices on your NetWare network

NetSpot Device Installer for IPX is a software utility that allows you to make network protocol settings and display or change various information for Canon devices connected to your network. This utility uses the NetWare protocol (IPX).

Functions of NetSpot Device Installer for IPX

When you launch NetSpot Device Installer for IPX, a list of devices detected by NetSpot Device Installer for IPX (the device list) appears. NetSpot Device Installer for IPX allows you to:

Make network protocol settings
You can make or change basic network protocol settings of Canon devices for TCP/IP, IPX, AppleTalk and so on.
Set and reference device information, such as the installed location or the administrator
You can set device information for Canon devices, such as the device name, installed location, and the administrator. You can also display that information when needed. (If multiple devices are being used, you can set up each device separately.)
NetWare print service setting and referencing
You can reference and make print service settings for printing with Canon devices.
You can also create new objects.
View device status
You can view the current status of individual devices displayed in the device list. View the current device status to find out whether a device is available for printing, whether an error has occurred and so forth.
