Initial Protocol Settings
Batch Settings for Multiple Devices

This section describes the procedure for setting the IP addresses for multiple devices for which [Not Configured] is displayed in the device list.

Administrator privileges are required to make new network protocol settings. With Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003, Solaris, or Linux, first log in (log on) as an administrator.
If the router is set to transmit the specified subnet broadcast address, you can make the initial settings of the Canon devices connected to the network through the router for which [Not Configured] is displayed in the device list.
For details about how to configure a device that is not displayed in the device list for the first time, refer to Making New Settings.
To change existing network protocol settings, refer to Changing Protocol Settings.
