When you launch NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP, a list of devices and DA units detected by NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP (the device list) appears. NetSpot Device Installer for TCP/IP allows you to:

Make network protocol settings You can make basic network protocol settings for TCP/IP, IPX, AppleTalk, etc. You can also update settings after making changes to your network system.

Set and reference device information, such as the installed location or the administrator
You can set information for Canon devices, such as the device name, installed location, and the administrator. You can also display that information when needed. (If multiple devices are being used, you can set up each device separately.) You can also display information such as the device name and IP address for DA units and non-Canon devices.

View device status You can view the current status of individual devices displayed in the device list. View the current device status to find out whether a device is available for printing, whether an error has occurred and so forth.

Device Web page link If the device selected in the device list has a built-in web page, you can use the device link to jump to the web page. You can also make detailed settings on the device web page.

Adding functions with plug-ins
You can add the functions of NetSpot Device installer for TCP/IP by adding the plug-in module. For more information, refer to Using Plug-Ins.
